On the afternoon of August 15, 2026, the Center for Biomedical Research and Application, Phan Chau Trinh University held a working session and academic exchange with Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, a researcher at Paris Sciences et Lettres University (École normale supérieure – PSL, Chimie ParisTech).

Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan is a scientist in the fields of polymer chemistry, biomaterials, surface technology, and nanotechnology. Dr. Tuan has extensive research on bioabsorbent materials, scaffolds for ligament regeneration, autodegradable vascular stents, injectable hydrogels for cartilage and bone, as well as intelligent surface substrates that control cell response.

At the seminar, Dr. Tuan shared outstanding results from the process of research and international cooperation, including:
- Biological scaffold development for ligament and soft tissue regeneration.
- Bioabsorbent vascular stent design with resistance to oxidative stress and limited re-stenosis.
- Application of microfluidic and stimulus-responsive materials to control cell migration and adhesion.
- A new research direction on smart implants combined with immunomodulation to improve the efficiency of bone-material integration.
The exchange took place in a lively academic atmosphere, attracting the attention of lecturers, researchers and students. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan’s sharing not only provides in-depth knowledge but also suggests many potential research and cooperation directions in the field of biomedicine and regenerative medicine in Vietnam.
